The promotion of the mutual respect between the human beings and environment where they live passes also through our country. Even in Italy, the management of territories is manly driven by economic interests which often works against the real needs of the local communities. The importance of the development of a collective environmental consciousness has led us to organize different kind of educational activities. We in fact believe that providing the intellectual tools for the understanding of the Earth System and its complex evolution, from local to global scale, it will become possible a cultural individual enrichment as well as the taking of conscience of sustainable and rational use of natural resources, their conservation and the respect of the people.

For these reasons GSF organizes training courses on environmental disciplines both in schools and through geo-tours in the cities and in the surrounding areas open to everybody. "The Nature it is not far from us, it is where we live!"
The development of the society (the Progress) it is a continuous fight between two different forces: the economical system (and its institutional expression) and the local communities who live in the territories and demand respect for their rights (the "grass-root movements").
We support all the women and men who fight for the human rights, for the respect and the cooperation among peoples and for a rational and sustainable use of natural resources. For this reason GSF is involved in collaborations with several movements, national and international, with which it shares principles and practices.
